TRAINING COURSES

Victory Personal Protection Solutions's Concealed Carry & Home Defense Fundamentals Academy is a personal and home defense program that combines a series of courses, including classroom and range time, with special package pricing. The Academy is free to River Bend Gun Club Members. The Academy courses are scheduled on the second Sunday of each month from 4pm-6pm Eastern. Two Academy sessions are scheduled annually, including a January - June session and a July - December session. To register for an academy session please contact us.

ACADEMY DETAILS

The AR-15 Fundamentals course is designed to introduce responsible gun owners to the safe handling, proper maintenance and effective use of AR-15-style rifles and to bring awareness to the usefulness of this platform in the context of civilian home defense. Classroom instruction covers topics such as basic AR-15 nomenclature and function, cleaning and maintenance, and accessorizing the AR-15, while live-range instruction will provide students with an understanding of how to safely and effectively operate an AR-15, confirm zero, and engage in practical and cumulative drills.

These are two-hour skills building sessions utilizing drills to reinforce the skills learned in the AR-15 Fundamentals course. You must have completed one AR-15 Fundamentals course to be eligible to participate in the Skills Builder Program.

VIEW SCHEDULED EVENTS

The Defensive Pistol Program class can be taken by anyone of any skill level. Whether you are a beginner or an advanced shooter, you will walk away from this course a better protector of yourself and your loved ones. You will learn the concept of balancing speed and precision to begin the course, understanding your individual limits, the importance of accurate hits to target, and ability to quickly engage with a target. Other drills may include: - How to present from the holster - How to perform an emergency reload - Lateral movement - And more. Purchasing a gun is part of the self-defense journey, but knowing how to safely and effectively use it is even more important. Education and training are critical methods to ensure students will be ready if they're forced to use their firearms to defend themselves and their loved ones.
